Completely ignoring the moral debate about this whole thing: If I were on death row, I’d advocate for death by #fentanyl. That’s some good 💩, and I’d be ok ODing on that. Just drip until I’m RIP vs whatever BS the state thinks up.

If you’re wondering what ~$15/month internet speeds are in #Korea. This is a test from my #iPhoneAir over WiFi. I blame the WiFi router for the poor performance but maybe later I’ll get a chance to try from the wired AppleTV.

“No. We don’t do that. Find another venue”. See how easy that is? 😮‍💨#EiffelTower #Paris

They are still called AMBER Alerts in Korea? 🤔

Taking a two-week-ish trip to Korea. Boarding in 15min. 😎

Totally fine when all the employees have doors and their own offices IMHO. 🤷🏼‍♂️ https://www.ign.com/articles/counter-strike-co-creator-says-gabe-newell-got-so-obsessed-with-mongolian-throat-singing-at-valve-hq-that-staff-started-closing-their-office-doors-to-escape-the-noise

I don’t often LOL when reading something but I did about 50% into this article. Yes. #Google has become super weird. Their #ai / #LLM search results are something else.

I’ve read a number of mainstream reviews of people falling over themselves about how good #Muse is at being a personal assistant… so I thought I’d give it a spin.

To be honest, it is actually pretty bad for the task I gave it: find a USB-A to USB micro Type B connector. I think Muse’s inability is more because of all the anti-bot stuff going on.

#Amazon is really good at blocking bots, and so is #Cloudflare. Monoprice is behind Cloudflare, so Muse couldn’t even look at pricing. BestBuy and Walmart were viewable, but there were constant bot blockers that had Muse asking for help. I told Muse to solve the puzzles itself, and it was able to get past whatever Walmart and BestBuy do. After giving it the ok to purchase, it was a huge new pain in the ass. You either give it your personal account information or set up a new account. Then paying is some wallet connection with Stripe, which obviously won’t work everywhere. An alternative is a virtual screen running Chrome where you manually drive it over your phone. It kept triggering bot-blocking pages.  Since I was able to see the item in my cart for Walmart in their app on my iPhone, I was able to complete the purchase from a 3rd-party seller.

Overall, it’s kind of terrible at doing basic finding and buying. I shared this thought with Muse, and it agreed and stated it’s better at researching and finding.

#AI-slop menus are here to stay because they work. Restaurants using them are getting more customers. Also being done by owners directly without getting graphic designers involved. I wonder how long it will take for all restaurants to switch over so there is no longer a boost.

#Paramount isn’t leaving California after all. Was just a bunch of smoke. I’m more interested if we’ll get more #StarTrek from those bums.

Seems #StarTrek Voyager actor that portrayed Tom Paris is getting into Utah politics. I was not expecting him to look old… I’m also old. 😣

my in-development #mastodon / #gotosocial app is looking pretty good on #iPhoneDuo already. Just some bad alignments on the left-side in Portrait mode. I'd like to do better for mixing posts with media/previews.

Love to read about #Uber losing bigtime with their own stacked binding arbitration. Even after losing they tried to force silence and a different settlement. What a bunch of dirtbags. #law
