One of the bummers about not having a shuttle replacement. The boosts into higher orbits have always been the shuttle pulling it into the bay, performing upgrades, boosting to higher orbit, and redeploying.

Thankful #Apple released a M5 Ultra Mac Studio with 512GB memory option. I’m not buying one but now I can put one together online, fantasize about having one, then just close the tab. I’ve previously been restricted to website lusting fantasies with Zillow, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari.

I haven’t been to Carl’s Jr. in, what… 2–3 years? Maybe longer. But suddenly I’m craving a Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Right now, it sounds like a fantastic idea, but I know damn well that if I actually go through with it, I’ll immediately regret my decision and swear off Carl’s Jr. again… at least until I forget how much I regretted it the last time.

On Friday (Oct 23) my #eero router got an update to fix the “4” cert nonsense. How quickly did everyone else’s Wi-Fi routers get updated? 🤔

Also, many D-Link & Netgear use php. RaspAP is php and pfSense also…

I’m guessing everyone is not exposing their admin port to the wild internet, so it isn’t that bad. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just played with an #iPhoneDuo for awhile at #Apple store. Was actually a lot more exciting and nicer than I thought it would be. I was very hyped and thought maybe my expectations would crash and burn. But it was actually really enjoyable to use.

I do think the lack of FaceID is terrible. The demo units are not locked in store so you don’t get to really get a feel for how annoying it is. But using an iPad with TouchID is really trash.

Very annoyed the ship times are so far off.

I guess my gut instinct to not use the #tailscale built-in SSHD was probably correct. Just use tailscale for the mesh network connections…

TIL #Hawaii has a cap on age. Forces retirement once a justice reaches 70 years old. Also their term is 10 years. No lifetime appointments.

I happened to watch a clip of what apparently is “French slopecore.” Basically, music/music videos made entirely from #AI. For someone (like me) that loves a good hook and pop music, this is like the sirens in the Odyssey leading me to slaughter …

@transience, did you try rebooting? Could be some migration thingy didn’t finish. Sometimes a reboot will get it unstuck.

Another solution is to turn off iCloud passwords/keychain. It all gets reset. Power off the device, then turn it back on. Go to iCloud and turn password syncing back on to redownload all the keys. Honestly, I’d just upgrade to iOS 27 and let a new codebase give it a shot.

Note: Before you do anything, make sure there is a backup of your device on iCloud or on a computer. I routinely destroyed my iPhone with nightly builds when working at Apple so take my advice with a grain of salt. I feel nothing when running into bugs… 🐛
