I wish @ivory for MacOS would translate posts in-app the way that Ivory for iOS does; I really dislike anything automatically opening up a new browser tab if I can avoid it

@darkuncle The mac version does have a form of in-app translation, but i think it is limited to certain languages and the post has to be tagged correctly as in another language. If you try it on enough posts, you should find one that properly translates inline vs opening google.

#Phanpy does a great job of this. If a user taps translate, it will auto-detect language and do it right below the post. No need to click anything when the poster correctly tags their language (very rare). #Ivory should steal this logic imho. With new AI integration more languages should be translatable and auto detect should get cheaper for lingering on a post for automated translation.
