Alien in bay is over 500 years old and has been running the planet underground power and defensive systems. Ambassador and her teacher, another ambassador, and the alien go to planet. Ambassador teacher volunteers to run the machine by plugging himself into it - sacrificing his life. Garibaldi finally gets ahold of old girlfriend on mars. He is giddy with happiness only to be told by her she is now married and expecting her first child. Overall one of the best episodes of Babylon 5 in season 1 so far.
