I agree with this completely. This is a workhorse for getting a lot of boilerplate grunt work done quickly so I can focus on the important bits. My machine is just 64GB #Mac mini so I run a 4bit model. I should give the 8bit model another go.

Cool guide for getting #RDMA working for AMD #StrixHalo in #Linux. Reminds me of a startup I was in ~15 years ago where we used #Infiniband for #GlusterFS. Looks like it still needs some work to remain stable. The troubleshooting section has a deadlock warning (and fix) right off the bat.

I moved into this building in August 2025 and, for the first time, visited the gym. All equipment is super nice and has #Apple GymKit integration. Also, a bunch of specialized shoulder, chest, back, etc., equipment to fix posture. I should have visited earlier… oh well. Better late than never. 🤷🏼‍♂️

My wife got talked into trying some #durian. We each had a piece, and it’s actually good. But damn, it smells like farts and gasoline to me. Once you’re actually chewing it, the smell goes away, but as soon as you’re done, it comes right back.

I’d describe the experience as having a great dessert at an outdoor café, except every now and then a gust from an open sewer blows through. You can’t help but wonder why they don’t just move somewhere else.

I honestly think Content Warnings on the #Fediverse are overused to the point that they’re useless. People will put their Docker setup or a recipe behind a Content Warning for some reason. I’ve configured my client to ignore those warnings and always show posts. But every once in a while, my #Phanpy cookies are lost and my settings reset… and I’m reminded how useless CWs are. #ContentWarnings
