Dead grass and weeds, barn bedding, the contents

Of kitchen bucket and tumble barrel, along



With any foliage that comes to hand, even prunings

If too small to bother with for her iron stove.

This is for worms and all their small companions

Heaving aside the earth of path and bed alike,



Leveling and loosening, making untilled tilth.

Evening comes and she stills, listening

As the city of humus thrums toward spring.

Very likely it's best to interfere not
Even this much in things, she tells herself, yet

She's always loved to tell her children: eat.

Sure AI codegen produces a gigantic volume of bad slop code, but at the same time, there are stories like this which show the positive impact that lowering the barrier to entry for software can have. It's why I don't see AI codegen as a clear cut black/white absolute-good/absolute-bad issue.

Imagine taking all of the best arguments against AI coding, and then telling them to this person’s uncle that those are the reasons why he shouldn’t have this tool. I wouldn't be able to do that.

did u know, #systemd can now run #docker images natively, kinda

it's really nice

just needs two commands:

sudo importctl --class=machine pull-oci docker.io/library/alpine:latest alpine

sudo systemd-nspawn -M alpine /usr/bin/env sh -l

thank you @pid_eins, I've spent several days/weeks in the past implementing this myself with hoops calling system-nspawn with my own docker layer overlayfs/bindmounts. Really hyped replacing this with that work.

In case people are wondering why GitHub has been having some issues as of late - the GitHub COO recently shared that they're handling up to an order of magnitude more traffic than they were a year ago.

It's not like GitHub is just serving up pictures and text - things like the core git backend and actions are quite complex to host at scale. Idk, I guess I'm not surprised there are some stability issues when they're going from handling 1 billion commits/year to 14 billion commits/year.
