I remember when John Giannandrea was hired at Apple. Internally, we were all hoping this would fix the giant mess that was Siri. So, 7 years later, he retires, accomplishing basically nothing. Siri is still trashy and perhaps even worse. Good riddance and I’d preferred him getting fired like Scott Forstall.

Got a bad cold in #Korea, so to avoid getting my in-laws sick, I’ve been quarantined in a guest room for ~3 days now. Probably 1-2 more before heading to a hotel near the airport, then home. Very annoying development for a short ~2-week trip.

#Reddit auto moderator bot deleted a comment I made because I mentioned #BitTorrent. Stated I was likely promoting piracy and laid out an annoying appeal where I’d have to message subreddit moderators etc. so I guess that comment is dead.

I’ll be honest, it’s tough using Mastodon in Asia. I wake up to 400 new toots, and when I catch up, everyone is basically sleeping again, and my day is starting. 😂

Was going to visit my favorite Curry restaurant in Suwon #Korea today for lunch. We arrived and they are closed on Monday. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Seems like fish isn’t healthier; it’s just time-consuming to eat as you pick out all the bones or just eat super carefully. My 2¢… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Went to an Italian place close to my in-laws apartment in #Korea. Was very good. We go every visit. Almost all the ingredients are from their own local farms. Carbonara and risotto.
